A large number of apps and websites are currently taken entirely offline, or experiencing significant outages, due to an issue with the popular Cloudflare infrastructure network provider. The Cloudflare CDN powers the websites behind many high-profile apps, so any outage at Cloudflare has wide-reaching implications.
That includes social media site X (formerly Twitter), where users are currently unable to publish new posts or refresh their timelines. The problem appears to be impacting web users worldwide.

iPadOS 26 brought an all-new multitasking experience to the iPad, but it came at the cost of Slide Over, an omission that proved controversial among iPad users. It also removed key Split View features as well.

There’s been a whole flurry of rumors about a 2nd-gen iPhone Air lately. It’s getting a second camera; it’s been delayed to allow time to add this; it’s been indefinitely delayed due to the original model proving unpopular; it probably won’t be getting a second camera but will be getting an updated chip.

It’s been a whirlwind of a week for iPhone Air fans. First, The Information reported that Apple had indefinitely delayed the iPhone Air 2 due to lower-than-expected sales.
The next day, a separate report said the iPhone Air 2 had actually just been delayed six months, with Apple targeting a spring 2027 launch instead of fall 2026.

A federal jury in California has sided with Masimo in a patent battle with Apple over Apple Watch’s blood oxygen feature. The jury awarded Masimo $634 million in damages and concluded that Apple infringed on a Masimo patent covering low power pulse oximeter features.

The iPhone’s Portrait mode uses computational photography to simulate the shallow depth of field of a digital SLR or mirrorless camera with a larger sensor. It’s evolved from a very crude tool into something which is now pretty convincing, but it’s still no substitute for the real thing.
