  • If there’s one change I could make to iOS 27 and iPadOS 27, it would be disabling the new swipe-down gesture to invoke Siri AI. • Apple’s MagSafe wallet is likely the default option for most people looking to carry a driver’s license, a credit card, and a little cash on the back of their iPhone. Apple’s Find My integration is nice, but that convenience comes at a price, literally, since it costs about double what most third-party MagSafe wallets cost. Some people also hate the material choice as well. The Urban Fit remains one of my favorite alternatives to Apple’s own wallet. At roughly half the cost, it holds up to three cards and still works great as a MagSafe wallet.

  • As someone who writes for a living, you would correctly guess that I’m wholeheartedly in favour of allowing AI-generated text to be detectable and marked as such. There’s just a ridiculous amount of AI slop out there, and an “AI content” label means I don’t need to waste my time reading any of it. However, Anthropic has just announced that it’s complying with an EU initiative to have Claude watermark AI-generated text, but doing so in a particularly perverse manner …

That was followed up with icon color tinting in iOS 18, clear icons in iOS 26, and a full-on Liquid Glass slider in iOS 27. The iPhone has become more and more individualistic as time has gone on, and that’s a great thing. Since we can already tint our icons on our home screen – why not extend that to the rest of the operating system?

Writing a little bit of code shouldn’t be a hassle. Typically you have to set up a project and go through layers of menus before you can even start to write. Notepad.exe flips that script, and believes you should start with a blank file first, and figure out the project later – making it much easier to get your idea on paper.

Here’s what’s in the pipeline.
